| The timber types consist of loblolly pine plantations
(approx. 200 acres) with the remaining 2000 acres in good hardwood
river bottom land. The hardwood river bottom lands were salvaged
extensively after Hurricane Katrina. The remaining timber stands
and areas of new growth are comprised of excellent hardwood species,
mainly a variety of red oak, white oak, green ash, sweet gum, tupelo
gum and cypress. The loblolly plantations are well stocked and will
require thinning in the near future. |

| Hunting and fishing opportunities on this property
are excellent. The land is threaded with black-water sloughs, lakes,
gum and cypress ponds and has two and a half miles of frontage on
the Leaf River which includes two large sand bars. There are over
20 wildlife food plots established throughout the property, many
with permanent shooting houses and game feeders. Hunters can choose
from a variety of large game species such as white tailed deer,
wild hogs and eastern wild turkey. Small game species include waterfowl,
rabbits and squirrel. Accommodations for the Sportsman include the
main lodge, guest house, pavilion, walk-in cooler, grain bin and
a fishing/hunting cabin on the bluff of the river. Northfork has
been managed as a private fee hunting property for the past several
years. |

trestles allow easy access to the Leaf River from the main body
of land.
